Additional If Democrats Had Any Brains, They'd Be Republicans Information

“Uttering lines that send liberals into paroxysms of rage, otherwise known as ‘citing facts,’ is the spice of life. When I see the hot spittle flying from their mouths and the veins bulging and pulsing above their eyes, well, that’s when I feel truly alive.”

So begins If Democrats Had Any Brains, They’d Be Republicans, Ann Coulter’s funniest, most devastating, and, yes, most outrageous book to date.

Coulter has become the brightest star in the conservative firmament thanks to her razor-sharp reasoning and biting wit. Of course, practically any time she opens her mouth, liberal elites denounce Ann, insisting that “She’s gone too far!” and hopefully predicting that this time it will bring a crashing end to her career.

Now you can read all the quotes that have so outraged her enemies and so delighted her legions of fans. More than just the definitive collection of Coulterisms, If Democrats Had Any Brains, They’d Be Republicans includes dozens of brand-new commentaries written by Coulter and hundreds of never-before-published quotations. This is Ann at her best, covering every topic from A to Z. Here you’ll read Coulter’s take on:

• Her politics: “As far as I’m concerned, I’m a middle-of-the-road moderate and the rest of you are crazy.”
• Hillary Clinton: “Hillary wants to be the first woman president, which would also make her the first woman in a Clinton administration to sit behind the desk in the Oval Office instead of under it.”
• The environment: “God gave us the earth. We have dominion over the plants, the animals, the trees. God said, ‘Earth is yours. Take it. Rape it. It’s yours.’”
• Religion: “It’s become increasingly difficult to distinguish the pronouncements of the Episcopal Church from the latest Madonna video.”
• Global warming: “The temperature of the planet has increased about one degree Fahrenheit in the last century. So imagine a summer afternoon when it’s 63 degrees and the next thing you know it’s . . . 64 degrees. Ahhhh!!!! Run for your lives, everybody! Women and children first!”
• Gun control: “Mass murderers apparently can’t read, since they are constantly shooting up ‘gun-free zones.’”
• Bill Clinton: “Bill Clinton’s library is the first one to ever feature an Adults Only section.”
• Illegal aliens: “I am the illegal alien of commentary. I will do the jokes that no one else will do.”

If Democrats Had Any Brains, They’d Be Republicans is a must-have for anyone who loves (or loves to hate) Ann Coulter.

From the Hardcover edition.

What Customers Say About If Democrats Had Any Brains, They'd Be Republicans:

Ann Coulter must be a good writer. Rape it. It was to be expected.

As soon as I opened the book, however, I was disappointed to find only a brief prose before a huge collection of quotes making up entire chapters. Since I was aware that the book was not P.C., I have no excuse for having my toes stepped on, but I'm actually referring to a quote that's actually found on the back of the book (meaning this line was used for promotional purposes: "God said, `Earth is yours. After all, her title alone caught my eye as I was browsing the shelves of the airport bookstore while I was waiting for my flight.

However, as a Christian, there is one thing that got my goat. This in itself, quite frankly, doesn't make the book worth my money. Since, I'm in the middle politically; I wasn't all that concerned about the political bias from the right.

Take it. It's yours.'" Yes, I'm sure "rape" is definitely something God would tell people.

If you're going to denounce your opponent as incompetent, you had better be able to defend your own competence. The other 273 pages (yes Ann, liberals can subtract too) are filled with the garbage sound bites that we've heard over and over again (I mean how long can she ride that damn "We should convert them to Christianity" line). Unfortunately, Coulter fails miserably at this very attack strategy. Compiled together, If Democrats Had Any Brains, They'd Be Republicans has about 15 pages of new writing by Coulter. Yes, when you need some comic relief, by all means go to Ann's web site and read her latest attacks on the Muslims, liberals, and non-Christians. But do NOT waste your money on this pathetic attempt at a memoir from a worn-out hag who's seen much better days under the "holy" rock she crawled out from.

Coulter claims that after everything she has ever written, liberals always claim that she "goes to far." I admire Ann's ability to say things that many Republicans are probably thinking, but shy away from saying because they are afraid of reprisal. I believe her work can spark a debate (or rather an argument between Democrats and Republicans). After reading it, I both laughed and grew a bit angry. In all, her book reveals how out-of-touch and hazardous the liberal mind is. If you are a liberal, I doubt you will enjoy this book as much as a Republican because of her very strong sarcastic humor.

I purchased this book thinking I was about to maybe have my left leaning views changed a little. This book consists mostly of a plethora of her old books, columns and interviews. To the left wing, her tone sounds brutal and fallacious. One of her chapters that really offended the liberal viewpoint I think was the chapter on abortion. 2).

I didn't like the plain meanness, nastiness and bitterness of her work. She begins the book by saying how liberals have tried to bring her down throughout her career and ultimately makes the claim that liberals do not have any chance when it comes to debating current political issues. Her original material that gives background to the issues at the beginning of each chapter are much more notable. I laughed a couple times throughout the first half of her novel, but after about midway through, her jokes began to grow a little old and didn't stem from much of a solid argument.

However, I admit I now understand more of the conservative stances. Such a quote caught me off guard and angered me because abortion is a very personal issue. "This time, she's gone too far." (Pg. This book is a fairly fast read probably because she is one of the few authors out there who is really willing to state their ultra-conservative view. I would recommend this book to those individuals interested in politics, haven't read Ann Coulter's other books, have a sense of humor and aren't willing to get insulted (if you're a liberal). I was a little shocked at times to hear her say such things, but then again, I guess that is what she is going for. Then she proceeds to list old quotes. I am a little nervous to hear what she has to write about Obama because I am a supporter of him.

Thus, being a first time reader of Ann Coulter like myself, this book encompassed what she is all about and gave good insight into her witty nature. Ann Coulter has become a big media attraction over the past couple of years and thus, I believe it is important for people to know about her. At the beginning of each chapter she has a couple of paragraphs of original, introductory material. However, her book reads more like a list of memorable excerpts than anything else. She writes: "If only Democrats could get the American people to believe that a group with the words "abortion" and "rights" in its name is some kind of benevolent little charity that holds bake sale" (39). This book provides a perfect opportunity for that.

Ann's best book in my view. I like it because she does what liberals hate. She tells the truth.

There is really nothing new in this book. I'm much more inclined to agree with Congressman Ron Paul. I'm not the biggest fan of Ann Coulter. This book is basically an accumulation of Ann's worst moments. All she does re-quote some of her most controversial and even discriminatory remarks and gets paid for it. However, at times Ann does raise some excellent points. Sadly, her book "If Democrats Had Any Brains They'd Be Republicans" is in my opinion, one of the worst books I have ever read. Most books offer new ideas or new thoughts and information, but Ann's book is nothing but highlighted quotes from her past books, speeches, interviews, and columns. This book does not provide any new information and I would not recommend it to anyone who is looking to learn more about the conservative party or politics in general.
